Magazine's 2004 Prediction For How Friends Cast Would Look Now Is Way Off

The stars of the hit show recently got back together for a special reunion

Back in 2004, a magazine predicted what the cast of Friends would look like 20 years later, and it would appear they were very, very wrong.

With the final episode of the hit series having aired, fans were bereft, heartbroken, sobbing salty tears into their giant mugs of bitter coffee.

And with nothing left to cover of the show itself, the team at Star Magazine used computer software to guess how well Jennifer Aniston (Rachel Green), Courteney Cox (Monica Geller), Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe Buffay), Matt LeBlanc (Joey Tribbiani), Matthew Perry (Chandler Bing), and David Schwimmer (Ross Geller) would age.

But while we've not yet reached 2024, it would seem that they were still well off.

Let's have a look at how they thought the years would treat the six pals.

Could it be any more wrong?

For Schwimmer, it says he 'may go grey by age 57, but he won't lose any of his boyish charm'.

Well, with the thick black locks he was sporting in the recent special, it's safe to say they didn't quite hit the mark with him. 1/10.

The publication also predicted that Aniston would be 'puffier' than in her younger days, but would still have 'great hair'. Again, that's a big 'no'. 2/10.

Cox received a similarly harsh reimagining, though the magazine predicted she would remain stylish, which is fair. 2/10.

Like his co-star Schwimmer, the magazine thought that Perry would go very grey and very thin on top. And though he may have lost some of his fuzz, he looks nothing like that. 2/10.

And while their description of Kudrow is fairly glowing, their photo isn't. 2/10.

How about Le Blanc? They said he would 'remain every bit a ladies' man at 56'. And to be fair to them, that's pretty much spot on, and their CGI creation does look a bit like him now. 7/10.

How they really look.

The article has been doing the rounds again recently after being shared on Reddit.

And users were in agreement that the Star's computer software had had a nightmare.

Commenting on the post, one user said: "Could it be any more wrong?"

The gang recently got back together for a special reunion show.

It saw the cast reminisce over old times and recreate some of the most iconic scenes from the series.

And that's not all. They were also joined by some A-list fans of the show, including David Beckham, Justin Bieber, James Corden, Cindy Crawford, Cara Delevingne, Lady Gaga, Kit Harington, Mindy Kaling, Thomas Lennon and Christina Pickles - as well as former guest stars such as Reese Witherspoon, Tom Selleck and Elliot Gould.
