Millie Bobby Brown says she is up for starring in a Stranger Things spin-off about Eleven.

While we eagerly await the release of season 4, the actor was asked about rumours of a series focusing more on her character, and said she's keen for anything to carry on the story.

Speaking to Heart FM, the 17-year-old was clear that this hadn't been discussed but that she loves playing Eleven.

She said: "It's so funny that you're saying this because yesterday the Duffer brothers came up to me and was, like, 'Why do you keep talking about a spin-off?' and I'm, like, 'I'm not talking about anything!'"

"I, I... listen, I would be down for whatever, I love Eleven, I would love to carry on her storyline. I think maybe she should stay with Stranger Things and that world but I'm open to a conversation, for sure."

But rumours of a spin-off aside, Brown said that fans should be excited for season four of Stranger Things.

"It's going good," she said. "I'm very busy and I've been working every day for a really long time.

"I just can't wait for people to see it. It's so, so insane this season, and I just, I can't... "

These echo the sentiments shared last year by co-star Joe Keery, who plays Steve Harrington in the retro sci-fi drama.

Speaking to Total Film, the 28-year-old said fans are in for a treat when it eventually hits screens - although, depending on the state of the world, that could be some time off yet.

The actor said: "I think that this year - and I know I say this every single year - but this is definitely going to be a lot scarier than prior years, because last year was pretty dark."

Adding: "Oh man, it's pretty amazing - the Duffer brothers have really done it again."

The trailer for the upcoming season landed early 2020, and it cleared up one of the biggest mysteries surrounding Hopper (David Harbour) - whether he was dead or not.

Speaking at Liverpool Comic Con, the 45-year-old revealed that the new series will delve deeper into his past.

He said: "There are these three things that we've established in the season that if we don't pay off, it means that they're bad writers and the Duffer Brothers are very good writers.

"So I know specifically that in Season 4 we will give you a big, huge reveal about Hopper's backstory."

And as well as Hopper, it seems like Robin Buckley is here to stay after she became one of the standout characters from the third season.

Stranger Things season three is currently available to watch on Netflix.
