Cobra Kai season four is set to hit our screens on 31 December. Watch the teaser below:

The spin-off series of the 80s classic Karate Kid has been a massive hit since it first came into our lives a few years ago, and the fourth instalment is almost upon us.

The announcement was made during the streaming site's Tudum global fan event tonight (25 September), which saw 145 of the biggest stars in the world whet our appetites for a whole host of releases set to land over the coming months.

Filming on the fourth season wrapped back in May, with one of its stars William Zabka sharing a couple of behind the scenes snaps.

Zabka wrote: "After 3 1/2 months of production, I'm proud to say [Cobra Kai season four] is officially wrapped!

"Ready???! LET'S BEGIN!"

A few months ago, it was also revealed that Terry Silver would be returning for the new series.

Fans had been left theorising at the time about Silver's return, as the season finale of Cobra Kai's third series saw flashbacks that revealed John Kreese had saved Silver's life when they were both prisoners of war in Vietnam.

Later in the final episode, we also saw Kreese calling an old friend - mysteriously looking at a photo of Silver and their old army friends while doing so.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly earlier this year, Cobra Kai creator and executive producer Jon Hurwitz talked about Silver's potential return.

He said: "You could guess who might've been on the other end of that call based off of the photo that he was looking at there.

"But we can't really speak to how Terry Silver would respond to that call - or whoever was on the other end of the line would respond to that call. I think you'll have to see if that character returns in season 4."
