Channel 4 is set to launch a new documentary that will 'teach you how to have a threesome'.

The one-off programme will reportedly be called My First Threesome and will land later this year.

And with research having shown that a ménage à trois is number one on the list of sexual desires for most people, it's about time, eh?

Speaking to the Mirror, a Channel 4 source said: "It's a one-off brand new documentary that will provide an open and honest platform for these discussions exploring sexuality, consent and boundaries to create healthy ways to bring fantasy to reality."

This is the latest in a long line of dating shows on Channel 4 that have broken the mould in recent years.

Naked Attraction is another of its raunchy creations.

First airing back in 2016, the X-rated dating series sees a number of naked contestants standing behind a coloured screen.

Over the course of an episode, the screens are lifted, revealing different parts of their bodies at each stage.

The fully-clothed contestant then gets to ditch the ones they don't like the look of, until there is only one would-be suitor left.

Channel 4

The controversial series is set to launch an erotic spin-off called Naked Attraction Hotel.

According to reports, a series insider said: "The observation producers made was that contestants on the show often ended up wishing they had gone with one of the other choices.

"But in most cases it was too late to get together with them because they had left the process.

"So the idea behind having a hotel is that, after the selection process, all the participants remain in one location and can have dates with multiple people.

"It's easy to forget with Naked Attraction that the show isn't just about the section where people's naked bodies are revealed, it's also about their actual dating experience once they have put their clothes back on."

Channel 4

This comes as viewers recently called for the show to be cancelled after its Best Naughty Bits aired.

Many took to Twitter to say how 'awful' they found the dating programme - while others defended the 'body positive' message behind the show.

One wrote: Why on earth is Naked Attraction a thing? Honestly, I'm sex positive but someone needs to cancel this s***."

Responding to the criticism, a spokesperson for the show said: "Naked Attraction opens the conversation about gender, sexuality and body confidence and we are proud of the contributors who have appeared over the course of the last eight series."
