A bizarre TV news segment has gone viral after guests on the show went in on President Joe Biden's dog Champ, complaining he doesn't look 'presidential' enough.
Right-wing media outlet Newsmax aired a piece about Champ in which they accused the pooch of looking 'a little rough' and 'dirty'.
Former Fox News host Greg Kelly commented on a photo of Champ, saying: "Did you see the dog? I wanna show you something I noticed. Doesn't he look a little rough?

"I love dogs, but this dog needs a bath and a comb and all kinds of love and care.
"I've never seen a dog in the White House like this."
He was joined by writers Doug Wead and Craig Shirley, who both seemed to agree the dog wasn't fancy enough for the White House.
Shirley said: "He looks very dirty and dishevelled, and very unlike a presidential dog, like [George H. W. Bush's dog] Millie or [Ronald Reagan's dog] Victory."

The segment has since been widely ridiculed online, with one Twitter user sharing the clip and writing: "These people really need some help. Serious, serious help. This really is not normal."
Another said: "I am not a dog owner, don't know much about dog grooming, but how is this dog different than literally every other dog I've seen in my life?
"This is just a normal ass dog. What parts of him are supposedly dishevelled?"
Actor Patricia Arquette also commented on the clip, writing: "When you're insulting an actual dog you know you got nothing."

Someone else was quick to jump to Champ's defence, posting: "Champ is very presidential. He's very calm, content, & dignified. Just like his humans.
"Next he's an older German Shepherd. The fact he's doing as well as he is proves that both his human & German Shepard family love each other & are very loved & definitely well taken care of."
President Biden has two German Shepherds, Champ and Major, who live with him and Dr Jill Biden at the White House.

Major is the first rescue dog to move into the White House - he was adopted by the Bidens from the Delaware Humane Association (DHA) in 2018.
The DHA put on a special 'indoguration' back in January to celebrate the pooches moving into their new gaff.
I don't care what anyone says, Champ and Major look like a couple of very good boys to me.
