People Think A Man Wanted By Kent Police Looks Like Jeremy Clarkson

And on that bombshell...

After Kent Police shared a picture of a man they'd like to talk to regarding a suspected crime, people online have noticed that he bears more than a passing resemblance to The Grand Tour presenter and former Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson.

Well, does he? Whatever you think, there are certainly enough people flooding the post on Kent Police's Facebook page suggesting that this person really does.

The man in question is wanted to provide information regarding the theft of a bank card from someone's handbag, which was followed by a subsequent spending spree in which the same bank card was fraudulently used.

Jeremy, is that you?

Kent Police shared the photograph of the Clarkson-a-like and wrote: "Do you recognise this man? We believe he may have important information that can help us investigate the theft and fraudulent use of a bank card.

"The card is reported to have been used at various locations across Ashford in December 2019 after it was stolen from a handbag on 6 December.

"As part of ongoing enquiries, our investigators are now in a position to release a picture of a man who may be able to help them establish the full circumstances."

They continued: "Anyone who can help identify the man is asked to call us on 01843 222289 quoting 46/233046/19.

"Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously by calling 0800 555 111 or using the anonymous online form at Crimestoppers-uk.org."

Here's a slightly better look.

While he might not look as much like Jezza as - let's say - the man who looked like David Schwimmer who lifted a load of booze from a shop in Blackpool last year, but there are definitely some similarities, right?

Remember that, by the way? You have to wonder whether Jeremy himself will weigh in on this controversy in the same fashion as the Friends star.

The guy's even wearing something of a Clarkson-esque outfit.

One person commented: "Jeremy Clarkson off that car show on TV?"

Another said: "I thought it was Jeremy Clarkson and I see I'm not the only one."

A third offered: "Definitely Clarkson, arrest him now.."

Loads of people online are convinced.

A fourth person summed up everyone's thoughts by adding: "It's not just that his face and hair looks like Jeremy Clarkson, but the clothes he is wearing is just the kind of thing Jeremy would wear.

"I hope Jeremy has a good alibi."

Anyway, amidst all of this fun, it's worth remembering that a crime has been committed. If you know anything about it, the number for Kent Police is in the statement further up this article.
