Now, the BBC has spoken to some of the women who have accused him of the crimes in a documentary titled Ron Jeremy: Fall of a Porn Icon.

The programme is available from today (12 November) on BBC iPlayer and includes interviews with some of his alleged victims as well as former colleagues and some friends who believe he became the #MeToo fall-guy.

Speaking in a teaser clip Alexis Beth Miller, a former adult film star, said: "The night that the attack occurred I was walking towards the front of the restaurant and in walks my old friend Ron Jeremy.

"There was one door left and that door was the door to the bathroom. He then proceeded to pull his pants down and push my head down at the same time. I froze."

Alexis continued: "In the days after the attack, physically I was sore. Psychologically I gaslighted myself. At that point I was just a 20-something porn star. Who would give a s***t?"

Also a part of the documentary is Jim Powers, an adult film director, who revealed: "I've been with Ron Jeremy at some these places. I've seen people coming up to him left and right, you know women hitting on him.

"When I think about the women who are making these allegations, I do think you have a good chunk of them are probably just in it for trying to get a payoff.

"In some of these cases, I just think people felt guilty about what they did afterwards and he's taking the blame for it."

Jeremy, who has appeared in more than 2,000 adult films, is accused of assaulting the women, whose ages range from 15 to 51, between 1996 and 1 January 2020.

The charges include 12 counts of rape, including that of a 17-year-old girl in 2008 and a 15-year-old girl in 2004.

According to the BBC, the most recent of the charges is from New Year's Day 2020 where a 21-year-old woman says she was raped.
