Rosamund Pike says a film poster was once edited to make her chest look bigger.

The actor revealed that in the past there have been numerous occasions where posters have been edited to change her appearance.

Speaking to Kelly Clarkson, 42-year-old said she first became aware of what was going on when a passenger on a flight made a comment about her looks.

She told the host: "I was on a flight with this guy, and I took a selfie, and he looked over my shoulder - someone I didn't know - and he said, 'Oh, no no, babe, you've gotta FaceTune that'. And I said, 'Sorry, what?'

"That was my introduction to the world of FaceTuning."

Pike then went on to explain that she soon came to realise changes to her looks had been made on a number of occasions throughout her career, with the poster for Johnny English Reborn seeing her breasts 'augmented', giving her a 'very impressive chest'.

She also revealed that her eye colour was changed from green to brown for the poster for 2020 film Radioactive.

Hitting out at the decision to make the changes, Pike added: "Those are the obvious times, when you do notice like, 'Oh, I've got brown eyes,' or 'I've got massive breasts'.

"But there are probably countless times where our image is doctored and we don't notice it.

"I think we're all losing a grip on what we really look like."

Pike is currently promoting her new movie I Care A Lot, which sees her play a vicious con woman who becomes the guardian of dozens of elderly people, forcing them to sign over all of their money to her.

However, when one of her latest targets turns out to have a much darker past than the average pensioner, things start to take a turn.

The movie has been met with rave reviews, with Rotten Tomatoes giving it a score of 81 percent.

And many of those who have seen it so far have loved it.

One fan said: "I Care A Lot on Netflix was incredible! Great plot."

Another commented: "I care a lot review: F***ING INCREDIBLE FILM, FANTASTIC 11/10 ABSOLUTELY AMAZING."

"Rosamund Pike is one of the best villains I've ever seen in cinema. First in the Gone Girl and now in I Care a Lot. Capitalising off older people and leaving them with no way to get out of it, Disgusting yet Mind-blowing" wrote a third.

While another added: "I Care A Lot is one of the best times I've ever had watching a movie. So chaotic."
