After his music, it's fair to say that Shaun Ryder is best known for his 'extra-curricular activities'. And on the latest episode of Celebrity Gogglebox, the Happy Mondays frontman proved our point when he confessed that he's a whizz when it comes to measuring grams and ounces.

The 57-year-old has left viewers in stitches as he and Bez have put the world to rights over a drink or two.

And during the most recent instalment, the pair got onto the topic of social distancing and the possible reduction in the government's two-metre rule.

After learning that the distance could be shortened, Bez asked: "But how long's a metre, an arm's length?"

To which Shaun replied: "I don't know, I'm still in f***ing feet, me."

Adding: "I know how many grams there are in an ounce..."

Before bursting out into a fit of laughter, Bez then said: "You should keep that knowledge to yourself, mate."

And fans watching the episode absolutely loved it.

Taking to twitter, one viewer wrote: "Shaun Ryder & Bez on Gogglebox are amazing. Utter legends!"

A second put: "Shaun Ryder on Gogglebox I don't know how many feet in a metre but I know how many grams are in an ounce."

A third commented: "Funny as f*** ! Them two should have there own show."

While another added: "I'm so pleased I flicked over to Gogglebox to see Shaun Ryder say 'I don't know how long a metre is but I know how many grams are in an ounce'!' Never change Shaun."

But it hasn't all been fun and games at Celebrity Gogglebox in recent weeks.

Earlier this month, bosses from the series issued a public apology to Eamonn Holmes after he blasted them for how he was edited during an appearance.

The This Morning host appeared on the show alongside his wife Ruth Langsford, but hit out at the way he had been edited saying he was 'hurt beyond belief' after he was criticised on social media for his seemingly insensitive response to a show they watched on TV.

Now, the official Gogglebox account has shared a statement apologising and promising to re-edit the episode for future repeats.
