Stan Changes It’s Homepage To Reflect Australia's Toilet Paper Buying Panic

"I don't have a square to spare."

Australia's beloved streaming network, Stan, has dipped its toe into the toilet paper buying panic and it's bloody hilarious.

People all over Australia have been filling their homes with as much loo roll as possible over a misguided threat that there would be a shortage during the coronavirus outbreak.

Covid-19 doesn't give you the runs and the biggest suppliers of toot paper are located in Australia and won't be affected by the disease that stems from China.

But that hasn't stopped many from flocking to supermarkets in every state and territory and buying way more than they need.

As a result, streaming giant Stan thought it would be funny to change its homepage to a shot of Elaine from Seinfeld from one of the funniest episodes of the sitcom.

'The Stall', from Season 5, Episode 12, saw a hilarious encounter that Elaine experienced in a public restroom, where she pleaded to the woman in the cubicle next to her to spare her some toilet paper after there was none in hers.

The woman exclaims she 'can't spare a square' and that is how some Australians are feeling at the moment.

Elaine eventually gets back at the woman by stealing all the loo roll in all the stalls when she goes to the bathroom on a different occasion.

While it might seem petty, it's certainly reminiscent of the way some people have been acting in supermarket aisles.

There were reports yesterday about a customer pulling a knife and having a fight with another shopper at a store in Sydney's west in the toilet paper aisle. Thankfully no one was hurt, but it just shows you how aggressive some people are about their bog roll.

People have been filmed obnoxiously filling their trolleys with nothing but toilet paper when they should also have some essentials foods as well.

There would have been some who might have been shocked to see a delivery truck burst in flames in Brisbane overnight. What was it carrying? Precious, precious toilet paper.

The truck was carrying thousands of rolls of the stuff when it burst into flames on the Gateway Motorway near Murrarie in the capital city overnight.

Thankfully, the driver managed to get out unscathed however the same can't be said for the loo roll as a lot of it was burnt to a crisp.

Queensland Police wrote on social media: "Northbound lanes on the Gateway Motorway at Murarrie are closed due to a truck on fire. Delays expected. Please avoid the area."

So everyone, if you don't want to look like Elaine, then chill out on the toilet paper purchases.
