Viewers Fuming After Groom On 'Don't Tell The Bride' Wastes Entire Budget On Stag Do

This groom infuriated viewers with his choices when it came to planning his wedding

So, you've done the hard work - you've asked her to marry you, or he's asked you, and you've agreed. The difficult part about getting married is supposed to be the years you spend finding the right person to stand across from you and say 'I do'.

That's not always the case though, is it? Your wedding day is the meant to be the most magical day of your life - but if you hand the reins over to the groom then you're asking for trouble.

Not saying that men are incapable of planning a wedding, just that the ones who pass the selection test for Don't Tell The Bride largely are. If the weddings they planned were perfect and everyone was happy, they wouldn't have a show, would they?

Don't Tell The Bride returned to E4 last night with loved-up couple Anna and Lee and viewers were left pretty saddened and angry about the nuptials that he planned.

The pair share two children together and seemed to have some very different ideas about what their big day should like.

Anna described herself as a romantic and was after something traditional. Church wedding, lots of family, you know the drill.

However Lee was less romance and more gimmicks by arranging a Vegas-style wedding. Obviously to bring the Vegas factor to their big day he had to go there to do some research.

Lee explained: "I've always jokingly said to Anna that the only way I'd get married to her is if she got me to Vegas, heavily drunk, and Elvis marries us. So, I want to bring that idea to the UK.

"Anna's getting the wedding, I'm getting the stag do. I want to go to Vegas, and that's what it's going to be.

"All I want is a little blow-out with the boys, and then she can have the wedding and everything else she wants."

Unfortunately Lee's 'little blow-out' was not so little and lasted four days and cost £3,000, which was almost a quarter of the entire budget.

Once he back from Vegas, Lee bought the couple's wedding bands and Anna's engagement ring off Gumtree and collected them from a random man at a bus stop. That seems legit enough. For reference, never trust anyone who randomly has two wedding rings to sell at a bus stop - trust me on this.

He then got his mate to build a shed resembling the 'Little White Chapel' and spent £1,000 on Vegas-style props.

He paid £749 for Anna's wedding dress and hired an Elvis impersonator who he auditioned on FaceTime. Good going, guy. If she doesn't go for that, she's no good for you, man.

Seriously though - that is ridiculous. In what closeted, bizarre world did he think that she'd go for this?

On the big day itself it rained so it wasn't a good look for his freshly painted shed but despite it all Anna still married him.

Well they do say love is blind.
