YouTube Is Streaming 19 James Bond Films For Free
YouTube is streaming 19 James Bond films for free.
If you're a lifelong fan, it's the perfect chance to revisit some old favourites, while if you're a newcomer to the series, I envy you massively.
The site is allowing users in the US to go back and watch Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan save the world as secret agent 007.
It's understood that deal has been done with MGM, the studio behind the vast majority of the iconic spy movies, and viewers in the US can find them by heading to youtube.com/watchbond. Fans outside the US... well, looks like you'll still have to pay to watch them, sadly.
But you'll have to be quick, because it looks as though they may only be available during the month of December - so get watching.
Sadly, however, with Sony responsible for the four films that have so far been released in the Daniel Craig era, they are not available to watch for free, I'm afraid. Sorry.
In a blog post, YouTube wrote: "Whether you like your martinis shaken, stirred, or don't like them at all, you can now spend your holidays with some of the most famous Bond films of all time.
"From Sean Connery to Pierce Brosnan and beyond, fans can now watch 22 films of the 007 movie collection at youtube.com/watchbond or by accessing the Movies & Shows tab on a living room device."
The post continues: "The films will be available in the US as a part of YouTube's growing free, ad-supported movies offering during the month of December, and will be available ad-free to YouTube Premium subscribers. As James Bond himself would say: It's 'shocking. Positively shocking.'"
Last month, the tragic news was announced that original Bond actor Sean Connery had died.
The 90-year-old Oscar-winner played the titular character across seven films between 1962 and 1971, and if you have yet to see any of them, I would highly recommend it.

Speaking of his passing, producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli said: "We are devastated by the news of the passing of Sir Sean Connery.
"He was and shall always be remembered as the original James Bond whose indelible entrance into cinema history began when he announced those unforgettable words - 'The name's Bond... James Bond' - he revolutionised the world with his gritty and witty portrayal of the sexy and charismatic secret agent.
"He is undoubtedly largely responsible for the success of the film series and we shall be forever grateful to him."
Since Connery first graced the screen as the secret agent, it has become a global phenomenon, with 24 - soon to be 25 - movies in the series.
And as you can imagine, the role comes with a lot of responsibility.
The upcoming instalment, No Time To Die, will be Craig's final outing, and he warned his successor to take the role seriously.
When asked on The Jimmy Fallon Show what he'd tell his replacement, he said: "Don't f*** it up. It's a beautiful, amazing thing.
"I don't know what else to say, really. Don't f*** it up! Leave it better than when you found it."
No one has yet been confirmed to take over from the 52-year-old, although Tom Hardy, Richard Madden, James Norton and Henry Cavill are thought to be among the front runners.
It's expected (hoped) that No Time To Die will land in cinemas in April, but concerns remain over whether audiences will be ready to return to their seats by then.
