£125,000 Studio Flat Goes Viral Thanks To Bed Balanced Over Staircase

Do you reckon you could have a good night's sleep here?

Photos showing off a very unusually laid-out flat have gone viral because... well, you can see for yourself:

The studio flat in Worthing, which has since been taken off the market, was on sale via onthemarket.com for £125,000.

A description for the dwelling described it as 'spacious and well converted', continuing: "The studio room has a built-in bed over the stairs.

"The kitchen area has a range of cupboards and drawers with built in fridge and two ring electric hob.

"The bathroom has part tiled walls and a white suite comprising a panel enclosed bath, wash hand basin and low-level WC."

But social media users were left scratching their heads after spotting that the bed is balanced over the staircase, with many questioning how someone could get a decent night's kip.

Shared by Twitter user @unfortunatalie, snaps of the flat attracted plenty of comments with one person asking: "How is that bed legal? You roll over and you DIE."

Another wrote: "Jesus, the thought of trying to shag in that bed is giving me RAGING anxiety." Yeah, fair point.

While a third person asked: "But... what about when you fall asleep with your phone and it rolls out of bed and falls all the way down the stairs?" Well, I guess in that case you just have to hope for the best, mate.

However, others asked why the bed wasn't just dragged down and placed into the empty space that's clearly visible in the photos. Just one of life's mysteries, eh?

And this gaff is not the first to go viral thanks to its unusual layout.

Just yesterday, a studio flat in Camden - that also featured an elevated bed - went viral.

The flat, which was advertised on Zoopla for £754 a month, features a small kitchenette, a 'mezzanine sleeping area' and even a shower and toilet.

All well and good until you clock the layout and see that the toilet is situated below the bedroom and right next to the kitchen.
