Nothing says Christmas like a nice, hot glass of mulled wine, but now if you really want to get in the festive mood, you're not limited to just knocking back a glass, you can actually bathe in it.

Yup, one spa company is offering a mulled wine spa day, complete with a hot tub filled with mulled wine and treatments inspired by some of the drink's flavours.

Oh and in case you were wondering, you'll also get a complimentary glass of the red stuff as well.

Guests on the spa day will be able to relax in a hot tub filled with mulled wine and set to a very cosy 37°C.

As well as smelling pretty bloody lovely, the mulled wine spa 'allows the pores to open, releasing toxins and allowing your skin to embrace the tannins in the mulled wine'.

Sounds good to me.

According to SpaSeeker.com: "Coming to a spa near you this December, SpaSeekers is taking the benefits of this delectable drink to the next level by giving you the chance to experience the world's first mulled wine spa day.

"Utilising the antioxidant properties of red wine, spices and citrus fruit to start your festivities in style.

"A visit to the mulled wine spa will allow you to indulge yourself in our rich, burgundy mulled wine hot tub, perfect for a warming and relaxing day out with your best friends or other half.

"With subtle and spicy scents of the Christmas season, you can allow your mind and body to relax while enjoying a complimentary glass of mulled wine.

"Carefully blended to reduce acidity and treated to create a safe and neutral PH, a dip in this festive spa is ideal for reducing inflammation.

"It also provides a high level of antioxidants from punches of orange, cinnamon and [Chinese spice] star anise - giving you a wonderful detox just in time for the party season."

Alongside the mulled wine hot tub - which, by the way is for bathing in and absolutely not for drinking - you'll be treated to an equally festive brown sugar, cinnamon and orange body scrub as well as a frankincense massage.

Well, if it was good enough for baby Jesus.

SpaSeeker.com says the mulled wine will be popping up at various spas across the UK, but first up is Shrigley Hall in Cheshire, where it'll cost you £60 ($80).
