This is the moment a furious motorist's car started to roll downhill when she left her vehicle to confront a lorry driver.

Dumbfounded Scott McCready, from Rock Ferry, Birkenhead on Merseyside, told how his friend filmed the road rage incident at 10am yesterday (7 September).

The 36-year-old, who owns Mammut Plant Hire in Birkenhead, was driving a 26-tonne Mercedes vehicle in Bromborough, Wirral.

He said the woman's temper flared after he turned left into a side road.

The woman overtook the lorry.

Footage shows a black Vauxhall drive on the pavement of the narrow street and overtake his lorry. It then slows down and stops as the driver leaves her vehicle with the car door still open and storms up to his window. Uh-oh, it's about to go down.

Dressed in an aqua-coloured jacket, she begins to shout at him but he quickly interrupts her and says: "Your car's rolling. Put your handbrake on."

The woman then panics, turns around and runs after her car, which is seen rolling down the street as the people inside the cabin of the lorry can be heard in fits of laughter.

The woman legs it back to her car.

She then returns to berate him once again (this time with a stationary car, which is blocking the road) and says: "You know when you put your finger up to me? You were on camera." Scott replies: "Did you not put it up to me?"

In front of the mobile phone, she then says: "I'm not on camera, you are." A voice from inside the lorry then says: "You are now, you f***ing divvy."

Walking away by this point, the woman quickly turns around and appears to flip the bird to the wagon, as someone in the cabin laughs: "Hey, I've just got that on camera."

The woman turns and looks like she's sticking her finger up.

Speaking to the Liverpool ECHO, Scott said: "It's quite funny really that her car started rolling downhill. But when you watch it several times, you start to see a bit more of a serious side to it.

"It was a potentially dangerous manoeuvre to overtake on the pavement and she's lucky that nobody is hurt."

After posting the video on to Twitter, dozens of people commented, with one saying: "Can't believe you told her her car was rolling, I'd have just watched." Brutal.

Another added: "I don't think there's anything more quintessentially British and in turn cringe than two people arguing over who's got whom on camera."
