Police have confirmed that they have been called to a street in South Manchester.
Witnesses say that the Royal Logisitcs Corps bomb disposal unit have arrived at the scene.

It's apparently part of an ongoing police investigation, and a large cordon has been set up at the scene.
'Dozens' of police officers are currently there.
It's too early for officers to
say whether the alert is linked to the investigation into the Manchester bomb
attack.

Police said in a statement: "Police are responding to a call at a college in Trafford."

They added: "The following roads are currently closed - Mancunian Way, Limby Street and Jackson Street.
"Officers are in attendance and we are currently assessing the situation."

Armed officers, police dogs and a police helicopter are at the scene, and pupils are being ushered away.

Previous reports stated that the incident is happening on Castlefield Campus on Linby Street. We now have confirmation that is not the case.
