B&M Is Selling A New Range Of CBD Products For £1

B&M is selling a brand new range of CBD oil in stores across the UK that costs just £1.

The CBD oil, which will be sold in the form of 'tongue shots' will come in three different strengths ranging between 100g, 300g, and 500g.

They all come in mint flavours and you'll get four shots in each box for your quid. If you're into CBD oil, that's a lot for your money.

CBD - or cannabidiol - is one of two active ingredients in cannabis. Before you start to clutch your pearls or plan to buy the whole stock - depending on your thoughts on cannabis use - it won't get you high.

If you want to get high from cannabis - not that we're advocating that sort of behaviour - it is the other active ingredient that does that. THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) is the psychoactive ingredient in weed that causes all of the things you'd traditionally associate with getting high.

CBD, however, is becoming more widely recognised for having medical benefits. For example, it can be used to ease chronic conditions such as arthritis and to offer respite to people suffering from anxiety.

The reason that this is good news is that - until B&M launched this product - CBD oil could cost around 30 times more.

As well as offering the oil shots, B&M has also brought out a new range of hemp based beauty products.

That range includes a Cold Pressed Hemp seed oil.

Apparently, hemp oil is great for your skin and provides moisturising and skin softening effect. If you're into that sort of thing, it also acts as a natural barrier to prevent moisture loss.

That's enough 'shampoo advert' chat for now.

So, does it actually work?

Well, a lot of people certainly seem to think so.

You see, the human body naturally produces cannabinoids to keep balance within the body. Many people aren't able to create enough of these, however, which causes imbalance.

That's where the CBD oil comes in.

In a recent interview, Dr David Dawit, Chief Scientific Officer for Eos Scientific, told The Mirror: "CBD is regarded as a food supplement that helps to bring balance to our bodies and minds by complementing or 'topping up' the endocannabinoid system which most are unable to create enough of therefore causing imbalance.

"The human body naturally creates cannabinoids, which are used by the endocannabinoid system to maintain balance/homeostasis within the body.

"The endocannabinoid system has been long regarded as the most important system in the body for maintaining long term health."

Naturally - this is science after all - not everyone agrees. In short, more research has to be done to decide whether it is without side effects or long term consequences.

A press release from B&M explains: "The CBD within the product contains less than 0.2% of THC in it so all items are legal to sell and use in the UK.

"If you look online, many people now use CBD oils for a number of issues such as pain relief, anxiety, and depression."

The retailer added that it 'does not endorse its products as being medicinal'.
