A new Porsche supercar worth £200,000 ($250,000) was smashed up in a crash - just minutes away from the showroom.
The would-be owner who was behind the wheel during the test drive wasn't injured but the vehicle suffered serious damage to the front wing and wheels.
The German-made Porsche 911 GT2 RS is one of only 1,000 in the world but the other 999 are probably being waxed and shined in the comfort of a nice garage somewhere.
This £207,000 supercar on the other hand was involved in a five-car pile-up in Penarth, near Cardiff - just over a mile from a Porsche showroom.
It is believed the car had just been picked up from Porsche Centre Cardiff when it was caught up in the red-faced prang.
Fellow driver Hywel Williams said: "The guy had only just picked it up from Porsche around the corner and he claimed the brakes failed."
The 700bhp Porsche was ranked at the highest point of Top Gear's fastest lap table, racing round the test track in 1:13.7 - 0.3 seconds faster than the McLaren 675LT.
A South Wales Police spokeswoman confirmed they attended the scene of a five-vehicle RTC in Penarth and all vehicles had been recovered from the scene.
A police spokesman said: "No injuries were reported."
Porsche Centre Cardiff have so far declined to comment on the incident.
Earlier this year a similar occurrence took place when footage showed the moment a driver slammed his friend's £560,000 ($715,000) Ferrari into another car, just minutes after hitting the road.

The hapless driver, known as Jin, was spotted making his way down a main road in the Wujiang District of Suzhou City, China, when the collision happened, causing more than £30,000 ($38,000) worth of damage.
CCTV cameras caught the incredible moment the white supercar swerved from side to side before crashing into a black Toyota, forcing it off the road and over a traffic island, and slamming into another car and a line of parked scooters.
According to reports, Jin somehow avoided writing off his friend's supercar, which can be seen stopping in the middle of the road following the shocking incident.
Local authorities said the Toyota owner had to be freed from his car at the crash site and was then treated for minor injuries.

Jin, who is reportedly in his 30s, then told authorities that he was the man driving the Ferrari, which he had borrowed from his friend Zhang.
It's understood that the collision happened just moments after Jin had climbed into the car - he was actually on his way to return the vehicle to his friend.
The authorities have found Jin fully liable for the accident, which has caused more than 300,000 RMB (£33,950) in damages.
