Omni's online calculator has been updated to take into account a slightly higher uptake rate of Covid jabs recently, in line with Boris Johnson's announcement yesterday (10 May).

Omni's virus calculator allows you to input your age, as well as a few other details, to work out how many people are in front of you to receive the vaccine.

It has been updated to also take into account the uptake rate of the vaccine, which affects the date the UK will technically reach herd immunity.

In a recent tweet, Omni revealed that as vaccine uptake had increased by one percent yesterday on the previous day, it has updated the calculator and was predicting herd immunity in the UK would be reached by 5 September.

It also predicts 18 to 29-year-olds will be offered their first dose between 30 June and 12 August.

The calculator uses data collected from the last seven days, giving you a more accurate idea of when we can expect immunity in the country, and when you can expect to have your vaccine.

Bear in mind, though the calculator uses government stats to makes its predictions, it is not official scientific advice and just gives a rough idea of when people can expect to be vaccinated.

It takes in considerations such as whether you are pregnant, or a care home or NHS worker, and whether you were asked to shield during the lockdown period.

Once you've given it the crucial details, it will give you a notional number as to where you stand in terms of vaccine priority.

According to recent Public Health England (PHE) analysis, those who receive a single dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine have approximately 80 percent lower risk of death with Covid-19 compared with unvaccinated individuals.

The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine also increases protection against death from approximately 80 percent after one dose to 97 percent after two doses.

As of 10 May, the NHS has administered more then 53 million vaccine doses in the UK, meaning we are well on our way to returning to a more normal way of life.

The calculator gives a broad way of working out roughly when you can expect to receive the call. The creators have said that they expect one million per week to receive the vaccine at some point in the new year.

If you do receive the call to have your jab, you'll be contacted by the NHS to offer you an appointment. Don't call them, they've probably got enough on just now.

You can find out roughly where you stand by using the Omni calculator here.
