It's great when you have three whole mates and they're all at the pub with you, thirsty for pints. It's also great when you're at the pub on your own and you fancy four whole pints to yourself, all at once.
But it can be a bit of a pain transporting four pints back to your table without any dramas. Do you leave two at the bar, leaving them vulnerable to downing or spiking? Or do you ask for one of those little trays that make you look like a pleb?
Of course, the super macho among you will say, 'I carry four just fine with my two hands, no problem'. However, these types, whether they like to admit it or not, do often lose a few inches of beer on their treacherous trip from the bar to the table, particularly when it's busy.
As such, it can only be good news for all of us that Carling has made the noble move of introducing interlocking glasses that make the four pint carry far less troublesome.

The clever new design incorporates vertical grooves which slot in to one another when held together, preventing the glasses from slipping around in your hands. They are also narrower towards the middle, which makes it easier for you to get a good grip of them. Even the lettering aids with carrying, with its embossed print enhancing grip.
Truly, this glass is a feat of engineering - the Formula One car of pint glasses.
As if all these carrying features weren't enough, the glasses also come with a nucleated bottom, which helps to keep pints fresh.
The glasses will be dispersed at selected pubs across the country in time for the bank holiday weekend.

Miranda Osborne, Brand Director at Carling, said she hoped the easy carry glasses would make trips from the bar far more comfortable.
She said: "Our aim was to create the perfect glass for the perfect pint, whilst responding to the needs of our customers.
"We know our customers can feel uncomfortable leaving drinks on the bar because they can't carry them all, so we wanted to design something that could help alleviate this problem. This is why we created our new easy carry glasses.
"We hope people find getting pints in for friends a far more comfortable experience now."
