There is a lot of buzz around the soon-to-be new addition to the British Royal Family, following the announcement of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's engagement. The 36-year-old actor was relatively unknown until she scored the role of Rachel Zane in the legal drama Suits, which catapulted her into stardom.
But as her profile grew, she found a friend in TV host Piers Morgan.

The Good Morning Britain presenter has revealed the time where he met up with her for a few drinks while she was in London. Morgan followed all the Suits actors one day and Meghan slid into his DMs almost immediately, saying: "Thank you so much for following me. I'm a big fan."
Well, according to the 52-year-old, that sparked quite the friendship.
Apparently, Meghan would send him episodes of Suits before they had come out and they were 'trading funny messages' for about a year.
Cut to 2016, when Meghan hopped across the Atlantic to watch Serena Williams at Wimbledon. Clearly wanting to have some banter over a few pints, she hit up her new bestie, who invited her down to his local pub.

Piers told Good Morning Britain viewers: "So Meghan comes along and there were about five locals - talk about eyes popping out of their heads, because she arrived with the shades, the look, the whole thing.

"We sat there and she had dirty Martinis, the vodka version, which is the sophisticated version - I had a couple of pints of Harvey's Real Ale.

"And for 90 minutes I had a chat with someone I just thought was this actress in a show that I loved, and we talked a lot about the show and off we went and it was all fine."
Morgan says his drinking companion started receiving a flurry of messages towards the end of their 90 minutes and Markle explained she was heading to a private members' club.
He added: "I put her in an Uber, off she goes, and when the story broke about two or three months later there was a nugget saying they first properly met at a members' club in London either that night or the next day.
"So, it could well be I put Meghan Markle in an Uber to the arms of Prince Harry."

Well, technically it was a mutual friend who set the pair up on a blind date, but sure Piers, you can claim to be a Royal matchmaker.
