Katie Price is taking part in this year's London Marathon wearing a massive pair of lungs to raise money for the British Lung Foundation.

The 39-year-old has suffered a knee injury in the run up to the race, which combined with the unseasonable hot weather has meant that the model is likely to finish the race in around eight hours, according to the Sun.

Fair play to her for even giving it a go with a knee injury, though, I'd have sacked it right off.

She was snapped at the 15km mark being passed by the event's safety trucks and, at 2.15pm is believed to have around eight hours to go. Rather you than me, Katie.

Assuming she carries on at her current pace she'll pass the finish line at about 7pm this evening, but she has previously vowed that no matter how tough it gets during the 26-mile run she will finish, even if she has to crawl.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror about the challenge, Katie said: "If I collapse, I better fucking get up again.

"But even if I end up having to crawl, I will get over that line. Whatever has gone on in my life this year, I'll put that aside on the day.

Katie is running the race to raise money for the British Lung Foundation - her mum Amy was diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis last year.

Opening up about the problems she's faced with her knees, she said: "[My knees] buckle now. Between two to six miles, they're gone, my knees are destroyed.

"But there's absolutely no way I will pull out. This is for my mum, it's important.

"Whatever happens. I don't care if it takes me a week. I am crossing that line."

Katie has previously said her knees have meant that she couldn't do any real training for the big event, telling Heat magazine she 'hadn't gone the distance before'.

She also shot down a doctor who warned her that running might have a detrimental effect on her face following a recent surgery.

"I'm not here to talk about surgery. It's absolutely irrelevant," she told new! magazine.

"That's shit. That doctor should be struck off. He doesn't know when I have my face done."

Katie added: "Bollocks to him!"

So that's him told, then.

She has currently raised £1,157 of her £2,000 target - you can donate here, if you wish.
