Royalty man Prince Harry is said to have invited two of his ex-girlfriends to attend his upcoming wedding to Suits actor Meghan Markle.

As W Magazine reports, Harry has stayed on good terms with his ex-girlfriends, with a source saying: "Harry has stayed good friends with Chelsy and Cressida, so they will be there... He made sure there were no hard feelings when they split up. I don't think Meghan will mind."

Harry's ex-girlfriend, Chelsy Davy, dated the prince, on and off, from 2004 (while he was at the boarding Stowe School) until 2010.

He was introduced to Cressida Bonas by his cousin, Princess Eugenie, in 2012, but the couple split in 2014.

Meghan was married to actor and producer Trevor Engelson between 2011 and 2013. It's believed Engelson is unlikely to be invited to the royal wedding, with the couple's divorce having explained as the result of 'irreconcilable differences'.

In previous years, the Church of England did not allow divorced people to marry in a church, but as Sky News reported lasted month, the Archbishop of Canterbury has said it will not be an issue, after the Church of England's decision in 2002 to let divorced people remarry in church at a priest's discretion.

Harry's great-uncle (King Edward VIII) caused a scandal in 1936 when he refused to end his relationship with two-time divorceé Wallis Simpson, an American socialite. Their relationship had been controversial since meeting in 1931, but came to national prominence when the prince acceded to the throne.

Refusing to end his relationship with Simpson, Edward abdicated the throne so that they could marry. They moved to America for the duration of the war, and France come peacetime.

Fortunately for the couple, public (and royal) opinion to Meghan's divorced status has been largely positive.

In 2011, then Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt (he does health now) estimated that 2 billion people would watch the wedding of Harry's brother, William, to Kate Middleton. The estimate proved to be overly optimistic, but nonetheless it attracted around 162 million viewers worldwide.

Meghan has recently been preparing for life as a royal in somewhat extreme circumstances, enduring a 'kidnap' drill with special forces as part of a course to prepare her for all the possible emergencies she might face in her new life with the Windsors.

The training covered what she should do in the event of a kidnap and even saw armed forces use live ammunition to make her rescue seem as close to the real deal as possible.

A former SAS officer told the Daily Express: "Even though Meghan will have known the enemy was not real, I guarantee that she will have been petrified."
