Dad Takes His Own Life After The Tragic Death Of His Newborn Son

A 17-year-old new dad has reportedly taken his own life after his four-week-old son tragically died.

In a heartbreaking double blow to the family, Joe Stewart was found dead at home in Inverness, just 12 days after his son Joe Stewart Jnr passed away from severe intestinal problems. His 18-year-old partner is 'devastated', according to the Daily Record.

Joe's brother Shaun posted a photo of Joe to his Facebook page and wrote alongside it: "Here you were just the other day Joe bro. I still don't believe it; you will always be our brother and a true one at that. Love you my boy, rest easy."

Others have since posted their own tributes to Joe, passing on condolences to the family and to express their shock and 'heart-break' at the deaths.

Police were called to the property on Tuesday. A spokesperson told the paper: "There were no suspicious circumstances and, as with all sudden deaths, a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal."
