No One Can Believe How This Teen Talks To His Mum

No One Can Believe How This Teen Talks To His Mum

My mum would have kicked me out the car and made me walk

Let's be honest, most of us have relied pretty heavily on lifts from our folks at one point or another. Can't afford a taxi and can't face the bus? Call your dad. Absolutely wasted and can't find a black cab willing to take you home at 4am? Ring your mum.

Those journeys are the focus of a new programme on Channel 4 called Taxi Of Mum And Dad, which uses in-car cameras to capture parents ferrying their offspring around. It's a bit like Googlebox but instead of watching people watching telly we listen in on their car conversations.

All nice and lovely, right? Well, no, because one teen, Ben, has caused outrage with the 'disgustingly rude' way he speaks to his police officer mum.

Ben is being driven to an interview by his mum, who thinks they should use the journey to do a bit of interview prep (a sound idea, by the way) but he's having none of it.

"What are you going to say if they ask you to sell yourself to them?" she asks.

Ben responds: "I won't say anything. Shut up." He continues to talk over her as she reminds him of his good qualities before telling her, once again, to shut up.

He even argues with her when she says he's 'very reliable'. Good luck with that job interview, pal.

He has classic Sulky Teen Face, too, doesn't he? He has 100 percent, at some point, shouted 'you don't understand me' to his poor mum. Guaranteed.

Unsurprisingly, viewers didn't really take a shine to Ben:

If he was my son he'd be getting the bus from now on.
