In my honest opinion, not that you asked for it, the best part about going on holiday is getting to the airport needlessly early.
Doing this allows maximum time to be spent in the airport's Wetherspoon (or some variation of) sinking horrendously overpriced, flat pints of otherwise cheap beer.

But, soon, getting pissed pre-flight could be an issue. This is not great for people who get nervous on flights and it's also not great for me, who just enjoys being drunk a lot.
The BBC have reported that the way alcohol is sold at airports is being examined after a "number of recent incidents involving drunk passengers."
The issue is being looked at by Lord Ahmad who, to be fair to him, said he did not want to "kill merriment" but he wanted to check the times at which alcohol was sold and also explore passenger screening.

Now while this is terrible news, I know people who work for airlines who mention flights to places like Ibiza which can quite often be utter chaos.
Whether this will ever develop into anything remains to be seen. The government does not have any plans to address this issue right now.

Recent cases include a female EasyJet passenger who punched a pilot in the face after being ordered to leave a plane before take-off, the BBC reports.

"If you're a young family travelling on a plane you want to go from point A to B, you don't want to be disrupted," Lord Ahmed said on the issue.
He went on to mention that the most important thing is for 'passengers to be responsible'.
After all, going on an aeroplane is not a free pass for being a dickhead.
