A good Samaritan who thought she was rescuing a box of abandoned 'puppies' was shocked to find out what was actually inside the package: a sex doll - and a very, very expensive sex doll at that.

Horse owner Jo Dawkins, 48, had been on her way down to her stables when she spotted the huge, five-foot box by a gate. Fearing it could have been full of abandoned pets, she opened it up in a panic, only to find the contents were a little more X-rated than she initially suspected.

Inside was a full-size, custom-made sex doll worth £1,800, complete with three wigs, removable pubic hair, a skin-like feel, a tongue, a cheerleader outfit and a rechargeable USB vibrator for use in various orifices.

Jo has named the doll 'Polly'.

Jo, from Pitstone in Buckinghamshire, decided to call the 'anatomically amazing' doll 'Polly', and has appealed for the owner to come forward ahead of Valentine's Day - or she'll be forced to sell it to one of the many men who have enquired about it.

Jo said: "It's the strangest thing I've ever come across.

"I've never seen anything like that - ever. It's very strange. A fantastic piece of craftsmanship though.

"When I found the doll, the outside box was absolutely drenched because it'd been out in the rain all night, but the inner packaging was fully sealed.

"I cut it open with my car keys, pulled back the top then when I saw the eyes move, I nearly wet myself.

"At first glance I thought it was a child's doll until I pulled the packaging back further - then it was clear that wasn't the case."

'Polly' even has a lifelike tongue. How lovely.

Jo continued: "Around two weeks before, there was a cardboard box dumped at another stables with a dead dog in it, then there were a litter of kittens packaged up in boxes.

"I feared someone had dumped it there on purpose.

"I thought, 'I've got to go and have a look.' I do end up with lots of strays.

"It's quite a long box and ever so heavy. This is no 'Del Boy and Rodney' blow-up doll.

"Looking at the website, and you can imagine my search history at the moment, these dolls are made to order. People choose their hair, their eyes, skin colour, bra size.

"It has removable pubic hair and tongue, three wigs, a cheerleader's outfit, a USB vibrator which fits into various sections depending on what you want to do with it.

"It's got a metal skeleton inside - it is absolutely amazing. I've never seen quite like it.

"It's properly weighted and you can pose it.

"Anatomically it's just amazing. It's very well crafted."

Jo said the doll is 'anatomically amazing'.

Shocked by her discovery, Jo drove home to mull over what to do with the doll before her husband arrived home.

A quick browse of the Internet revealed a doll of Polly's quality would cost almost £2,000 with all its customisation, prompting Jo to post on Facebook to try and find the owner.

"I've got no closer to finding out who the owner is. I've no idea at all," Jo said.

"I don't think I'm going to get anyone admitting it belongs to them, although I have had several men offer me money for her already.

"I had a look online and a doll like this with all the accessories is about £1,800.

"I don't have any idea what's happened for her to end up there. There was no documentation at all.

"On the outer box there was a clear package where you'd have documents, but they'd gone.

"Maybe a courier had realised what it was and dumped it, planning to go back for himself later?

"She's so creepy I couldn't have her in the house, so she's at a friend's warehouse and the lads have dressed her up.

"She's sat there waiting to be claimed, otherwise we'll sell her.

"There's been a mixture of jokes and serious offers - I've had around eight or nine messages.

"I've had a dad from school who wanted to hide her in his garage, but I know his wife so I'd never be brave enough to sell her to him.

Jo and her surprising find.

"I've been offered around £500 by others, but I'm not overly keen on people coming to the house.

"I had a message from a man who said his girlfriend had just dumped him and he'd make good use of it.

"It both made my skin crawl and made me laugh.

"I'm quite broad-minded though so if it does belong to anyone, they're welcome to let me know.

"There's a special mark on her body and if someone can tell me what that is, I'll know she's theirs. Hopefully they can be reunited ahead of Valentine's Day.

"I've got two horses at the moment. We'd lost one last week but this has cheered us up a little and given us a smile."

After her son was horrified by his mum's discovery, Jo's now more determined to get rid of Polly, and has vowed to donate any money raised to charity.

She added: "My son was horrified by her because he's 16 and you don't want your mum having anything like that. Everyone else just laughed."
