Grinning Killer Fled Murder Scene After Leaving Girlfriend Dead In The Bath
This is the moment cold blooded killer Michael Foran laughs as he flees his flat with an accomplice leaving the body of his girlfriend in the bath.
CCTV footage shows smirking Foran leaving his flat with friend Keith O'Dwyer before escaping to Liverpool in his accomplice's car.
Michael Foran was on trial for murder but changed his plea to guilty and was jailed for a minimum of 17 years.
Foran had strangled his girlfriend June Jones and then repeatedly stabbed her with a knife from the kitchen at the first-floor flat they shared in West Bromwich last year.
She had 21 knife wounds around neck and left side of her chest and is believed to have lain dead in the bath for three weeks before she was found by police.
June, aged 33, was reported missing by her family on Boxing Day last year after they'd not seen or heard from her and were concerned.
Police enquiries were carried out and officers discovered her body at the West Bromwich flat on December 31.
Enquiries, including examination of CCTV, revealed that she was killed on 10 December. Detectives launched a manhunt and Foran was found begging in Liverpool city centre on January 5.
He was arrested and brought back to the West Midlands and subsequently charged with June's murder.

The family of June, also known as Katie, released the following statement moments after he was sentenced. The statement said: "Today, justice has been done for our beloved Katie.
"Finally, Michael Foran faced up to the gravity of the overwhelming evidence against him, forcing him to plead guilty to Katie's murder.
"We as a family know that the guilty plea will never bring Katie back to us or justify the long term suffering he inflicted upon her and subsequently us. We will always miss Katie and will know she will be forever in our hearts.
"We now as a family hope to move on now justice has been done and Katie can finally rest in peace."
Speaking after the case Detective Inspector Nick Barnes, from West Midlands Police, told BirminghamLive: "We are delighted Foran pleaded guilty to the murder of his girlfriend June. This was a horrific, cold blooded murder.
"He killed his girlfriend and then went on the run with the help of his friend Keith Dwyer. He has shown no remorse whatsoever for what he has done.
"June was the victim of domestic abuse and he had pleaded guilty to harassing her back in 2014. He was a controlling and callous individual.
"Her death had a devastating effect on her heartbroken family and we are just delighted justice has been done today."
