This man may as well change his name to Lucky McLuckface after this incredible rescue.

However, the only name we have for him is Tremine. He's a roofer from Borroloola who had lost his boat after leaving it to hunt oysters a few days previously. That spurred a real-life Castaway situation - the main difference being that he had accepted death.

Luckily, Jeremy Wade and the team behind Animal Planet's River Monsters just so happened to be in the area searching for the rare giant grouper fish. The crew weren't actually supposed to be in the area, but had moved on a whim after the waters had be deemed 'too choppy'.

As they sailed, they noticed a bright blue cooling chest in the waters (which just so happened to be crocodile infested) and joked about Tom Hanks 'popping out at any moment'.

Seconds later, Tremine ran from nearby caves, waving his arms.

One of the five crew members who saved Tremine, Stephen Shearman, told InsideEdition: "He had said his last prayer.

"He was prepared to die and meet his maker."

They believe that he had been stranded for around 60 hours.

The footage has recently been released, but the rescue actually took place late last year.

Tremine and the crew have stayed in touch.

Lucky man.
