Here's How You Can Get A Free Pint On National Beer Day

What better way to celebrate national beer day than with a pint of the good stuff? Well, how about if you could get it for free?

If you sign up to TopCashback, you can claim your money back when you buy a beer in any UK shop. Sorry Scottish friends, the offer isn't available north of the border.

All you have to do to claim your money back is show the cashback site your receipt.

Apparently, 'national beer day' is celebrated on 15 June because that's the date the Magna Carta was sealed in 1215. It states: "Let there be throughout our kingdom a single measure for wine and a single measure for ale and a single measure for corn, namely 'the London quarter'."

So basically, it looks like having a bevvy has been firmly rooted in our culture for absolutely ages.

The kind people at TopCashback have decided that just one day of free beer is no good - the offer continues all the way up to 30 June (or until 2,500 claims have been made), meaning you have ages to claim it back.

The offer is limited to £5, with a £1 minimum, so London people - you might have to throw in a bit extra for your pint.

If you're already signed up to the website, then I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the offer is only open to new customers or those with no previous purchases or cashback through TopCashback.

And, obviously, you have to be over 18 to use the offer.

All you have to do to claim back is follow these steps.

Firstly, you need to create or sign into a TopCashback account (which you've not used to buy stuff through before).

Then you just need to take a photo of your beer receipt and upload it here.

A different, and probably easier, way to do it is to download the TopCashback app and upload the receipt there. It needs to show the date and time of your beer purchase, as well as which one beer you actually bought.

You will have to play the long game with this one though. Once you've done the above, you'll have to wait up to seven days for your refund. It will go into your TopCashback account, and then it can be a further 30 days before you can get the money in your bank account. Still though, free beer. Worth it, right?
