The traditional terraced home is located on Brynmair Road in Aberdare, nestled in the heart of the Cynon Valley, a former coal-mining hotspot in south Wales.

Inside, there are two large reception rooms on the ground floor - one of which has a huge bay window, bathing the space in lots of natural light.

Towards the back of the property is a spacious kitchen with an adjoining cupboard under the stairs, which would make a great pantry - or extra storage space.

The kitchen then leads into the bathroom, which has a separate WC.

Upstairs there are three sizeable bedrooms, each with stunning wooden floorboards.

Outside there's also a large garden and lean-to, also in need of a bit of TLC, while the wider area provides local amenities and 'convenient' road links into the towns of Aberdare and Mountain Ash.

The property's listing on Rightmove says: "The property requires updating throughout but does benefit from a gas combination boiler (not tested). It offers spacious accommodation with two reception rooms to the ground floor and three bedrooms to the first floor."

The house goes up for sale via online auction by Newport-based Paul Fosh Auctions, starting at midday on 16 March and ending at 5pm on 18 March.

Ryan Saunders, who is handling the sale for Paul Fosh Auctions, said: "The reason for the low guide price is that the property is leasehold and has a relatively short time left on the lease. The lease for the property is due to expire in 2054. The new owner may wish to seek to extend the lease or to negotiate to buy the freehold of the property. There has already been strong interest in the property which I expect to continue on through to the sale next month."
