London has been thrown into chaos as excitement among England fans rises ahead of tonight's Euro 2020 final at Wembley:

Stations have been shut and revellers have filled Leicester Square, which appears to have been turned into an unofficial fan zone.

King's Cross station has closed and been evacuated after fans set off flares. The red and white smoke, which was said to have been released outside, triggered fire alarms.

Passengers have been advised to re-plan their journeys, although other stations including Covent Garden are reported to have been closed for a time too.

King Cross station's official Twitter account tweeted earlier: "Services are expected to be busy today as fans head to #Wembley for the England v Italy Euro 2020 Final.

"Please check your journey via @nationalrailenq and allow plenty of time."

British Transport Police said reports had been received of an incident at 12.40pm and the station was reopened at 1.07pm.

People have also been gearing up for the final since early this morning - despite the game not starting until 8pm.

The Faltering Fulback, a pub in Finsbury Park, had queues outside from 6am this morning. Crowds had gathered at Wembley, with fans climbing on buses and setting off flares in the street.

Posting on Twitter, one local said: "Approach everything with the dedication of the England fans who started queuing for the Faltering Fullback at 6am."

And to get an idea of just how much excitement there is for tonight's final, England fans have already started bleaching their hair like Phil Foden in anticipation of Southgate's side winning the Euros tonight.

With varying levels of yellow, fans have been posting their new hairdos on Twitter, showing their support for the national team.

While the rest of the England team is poised to copy Foden's hair cut if they win Euro 2020 (as confirmed by the team's barber) some have been sharing their optimism by getting in there early:

Foden explained the thinking behind his haircut to the Independent, saying: "I've had the same haircut for ages now so I thought I would try something new and woke up this morning with a lot of comparisons to Gazza and Eminem.

"It was my own thing and people have turned it into something else.

"I remember watching highlights on the TV of Gazza, unbelievable player."
