A mum-of-two has tragically passed away after falling from the balcony of her flat on Christmas Day.

Sharon Anne Daly-O'Dwyer went outside her fourth floor apartment in Shepherd's Bush, London, for a cigarette on the morning of 25 December.

The barmaid's children, Taylor and Drew Daly, heard a bang outside and ran to check on their 51-year-old mum before spotting her on the ground below.

Taylor, 22, told The Mirror: "I ran down to try and help her but it was pretty obvious she had died, she wasn't breathing and her eyes were open.

"I held her hand when they stopped the CPR and closed her eyes when they said they couldn't do anymore. I gave her a kiss and said I love you."

Taylor went on to describe how the family were having a normal Christmas Day morning, adding: "She was really happy with her presents.

"She said she was going to go back to bed before making dinner but would just have a cigarette. We were inside for two minutes when we heard a bang."

Now a GoFundMe page has been set up so Sharon's children can give her the send off she deserves.

It was created by Taylor's best friend Georgie Dileo on 27 December with a £4,000 target and has already raised over £11,000.

Flowers have been left outside the flat.

It reads: "It's with such a heavy heart and eyes full of tears I'm having to even begin writing this.

"My best friend and beautiful brother, Taylor and Drew Daly lost their precious Mum, Sharon Anne Daly-O'Dwyer, yesterday 25th December 2020 at 10am.

"I am appealing to all friends, family and everyone who's heart Sharon touched, or anyone's pint she pulled. We are raising as much money as we can to help Taylor and Drew and the rest of her family pay for a beautiful send off and funeral she deserves.

"Sharon was such a beautiful, fun, loving and amazing woman, everyone who knew her, loved her and always had such a good time with her!

"We can't even put into words what the world will be like without her and her beautiful children and grandson will continue her memory and make her even more proud than they have already."

In a statement given to the Metro, a Met Police spokesperson said: "Police were called to an address in Shepherd's Bush, W12 at 10.09am on Friday, 25 December.

"Officers attended with London Ambulance Service and found a 51-year-old woman with injuries consistent with a fall from height. Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, she was pronounced dead at the scene. Her death is not being treated as suspicious."
