Group Of Bus Drivers Win Euromillions Jackpot And Give Work A Miss

Well, you wouldn't, would you?

We all hate those people who win the lottery and say: "It won't change me. I'll still go to work." If a win isn't going to change you, why even bother playing?

Well, there was no such nonsense from a bunch of bus drivers from Phibsborough, Dublin, who scooped £19.9million on the EuroMillions last Friday. None of them turned up for work on Monday, the Irish Mirror reports. They probably have more important things to do now...

Gareth Quinn, the area manager from Dublin Bus, said: "None of them were at work this morning and we've got no problem with that. Best of luck to them."

It's thought that their employers gave them a day off to try and get their heads around the massive win.

One employee, who didn't want to be named, said: "None of them are here today, they won't be back in until later in the week. I certainly wouldn't be here if I'd won a million quid."

He's got a good point.

The people of Phibsborough seemed pretty pleased that the local lads won it. Tina Mooney told the Irish Mirror: "There'll be no buses running today, I'd say. It's great to hear that a big group of working class people have won it. Fair play to them, if you're not in it, you can't win it. The people in Dublin Bus work hard, so I'm delighted for them."

And renowned Dublin drag artist Panti Bliss took to Twitter to make a pretty valid point:
