Police are hunting brazen thieves who stole sex toys worth a million pounds from a lorry parked up in a lay-by.

The massive haul of saucy goods was taken from the vehicle, which was parked on the A43 near Broughton village, Northamptonshire, overnight on 18 September.

Detectives believe the crooks struck between 1am and 6.30am, breaking into the trailer and swiping £1 million ($1.28m) worth of imported stock.

The lorry had been travelling from Felixstowe, in Suffolk, to deliver its load to Rocks Off Ltd, based at the aptly-named Satisfaction House in Kettering, Northants.

Northamptonshire Police has today (Thurs) launched an appeal to track down the stolen goods belonging to the the 'UK's leading sex toy manufacturer and designer'.

Rocks Off Ltd boasts being the 'number one European supplier for own brand and branded products'. It stocks sex toys, vibrators, love eggs/balls and intimate massagers.

They add on their site: "Our worldwide number one best seller being the RO-80mm bullet - with over 6 million sold to date.

"Our products are produced with body safe materials, meet the highest level of conformity and unless otherwise stated, are tested 100% water proof and are fully submersible.

"Each product comes with a unique registration number giving both suppliers and customers a full non quibble product satisfaction guarantee."

Just last month, someone lost a bag full of sex toys in Somerset.

For whatever reason - whether it was the weight of the contents, the flimsiness of the carrier or weather conditions - the bag broke open, meaning the sex toys were strewn across the street.

The person then did what we all probably would have done under similar circumstances: they left the bag (and dildos) where they were and did a runner.

Posting the picture to a Facebook group aptly named 'THE BRIDGWATER BULLET', the photographer explained that their location was 'behind Nat West Bank in town'.

Many people commented on the image, with some tagging their pals and others pointing out there's a 'lot of money worth there'. Not quite £1,000,000 though.
