The incident - which happened on 16 May - started when Reham Baluch and his passenger, Saqib Kader, attacked a food delivery driver in Prestwich - it's been reported by the police they hit and kicked the victim before stealing his car to drive away in.
A team of officers that included PC Nina Foran arrived to speak to the victim at the scene of the incident, but Baluch and Kader returned in the stolen car - the scene was captured on the PC's bodycam and nearby CCTV.
In the video, the car is cornered by the police van and PC Foran can be heard telling them to get out the car, but suddenly the car is reversed, and PC Foran is dragged alongside the car door and, along with a member of the public who was nearby, is thrown in between a parked car and the van.

PC Foran is dragged for a second time and the car door is nearly ripped off.
PC Foran's bodycam captures the harrowing sounds of the officers frightened screams - the officer and the injured member of the public both required hospital treatment.
Baluch continued on the rampage and ended up crashing into several parked cars before the police finally found the vehicle abandoned in Cheetham Hill, Greater Manchester. Following the discovery of the car, police arrested Baluch and he was sentenced to seven years in jail on Monday.
Baluch did plead guilty to dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, aggravated taking of a motor vehicle without consent, assault and attempted section 18 assault - the charges also went back to a previous offence by Baluch when he drove at a police officer in the past forcing him to jump out the way.

During sentencing Baluch told the judge to 'fuck himself' - the judge commented: "When in a drink and drug fuelled state, you are capable of serious violence towards random members of the public."
It was added that PC Foran is lucky to be alive.
