We've all given ourselves that little bit extra room when parking up in fear of scratches, but one Porsche driver took things a little too far by taking up two spaces.

The Porsche 911 - which can be worth anywhere up to £145,000 ($187,000) - was spotted parked up at a Hull branch of Sainsbury's.

The car-owner has been slammed by other motorists who accused the driver of being 'selfish' amid claims he parked that way to avoid the car being sratched.

One fellow driver told Hull Live: "Porsche 911s cost £145,000. He's just parked like this in a packed Willerby public car park, presuming as he doesn't want anyone to scratch him opening their doors.

"It was a man in his thirties who just got out and left his car like that. The guy cruised in and just pulled straight across two spaces, got out and walked away.

"There was no question he did it deliberately. He's probably worried about some 'ordinary' person dinking his paintwork by opening their doors beside him."

The Porsche was spotted during a busy school-run time, around 3pm, when parents tend to use the car park on Willerby Square for easier access to pick children up from a local school.

The angry driver added: "It's quite a wide car but there were loads of 4x4s managing to get in spaces so I don't see what the problem was. Just selfish."

One person said: "This is why cars get key scratched......just saying."

Another added: "Others should park as close to the muppet and see if he likes it maybe that'll stop him."

This incident comes not long after a Renault Megane - which was oddly disguised as a Mercedes - was parked up in a disabled bay outside a Tesco.

Decked out Renault.

A motorist who spotted the bizarre car posted a picture of it on Facebook and said: "I'm sorry but this just has to be seen to be believed. Not only is he parked in a (semi) c***ish manor but the dude has camouflaged his Renault Megane Cabriolet into a f*****g Merc.

"I've actually been crying with laughter for hours."
