The things you'll be able to do after draping that over your shoulders

With Halloween just around the corner, you may have already started to think about how you're going to dress up. Alternatively you may be leaving it until the last minute.

Or you could just get it over and done with now by going to Poundland and grabbing yourself an invisibility cloak - absolutely free of charge.

Six Poundland stores are offering the cover-up to customers and it will undoubtedly help you when it comes to trick or treating...

The cloaks have filled the racks in six stores as part of the chain's Halloween range and they're listed as being 'free'. Win-win going on here.

Shoppers in London, Bristol, Salford, Newcastle, Leeds and Birmingham will be able to go and pick up one of the cloaks, which are one size fits all (phew).

Poundland trading director Tim Bettley said: "We intended to trial this item last year, but couldn't find it in the distribution centre. But now we've found it, we think our customers will see the value, if not the cloak."

Here are the invisibility cloaks in all their glory.

On Twitter, one customer said: "Does your Newtownards store stock these, I just checked but couldn't see them." What a joker.

Another wrote: "I'd have so much fun with this pretending the grandkids became invisible when they wore it."

A third commented: "Amazing value, the cost is as visible as the cloak," with someone else adding: "Needs more sizes." Really?

The Invisibility Cloak is part of Poundland's biggest ever Halloween range and features over 270 different products which are all available now and will be sold from £1.

The range includes Halloween essentials like the Skull Tealight Holder, Trick or Treat Loot Bags (and the loot to go in them), Pumpkin Candy Buckets and Halloween Rubber Ducks.

Poundland has also introduced See, Speak, Hear No Evil Skulls, Halloween signs and a full range of make-up to create spooky looks from ghosts to devils. For those wizards who want to be seen this year, the range also includes a wand and some glasses reminiscent of the nation's favourite, Harry Potter.

This isn't the only tradition that Poundland has got behind. Back in February, the bargain chain released a £5 ($6.25) vibrator for Valentine's Day. Nice work.

The 'Bonkin' Bunny' vibrator was available at stores nationwide as part of the Nooky range which featured items from just £1, and included lubricant, stimulators and 'energy-enhancing' supplements.
