Poundland Release Trainers That Are Nearly Identical To Gucci Pair

They are nearly 50 times cheaper

When it comes to designer clothes, people are usually split between having nothing but the genuine items, or being absolutely shameless about parading their fakes around.

Poundland have come to the rescue though - they are selling an almost exact replica of a pair of Gucci trainers that cost £445 for just £9. That's right, for less than a tenner you could look like you are flash enough for the real deal - to the untrained eye of course.

The Gucci versions are doing the rounds on social media, with celebs and influencer types all plastering them over their social media, presumably because they genuinely love them, not because they're being paid to.

The genuine item.

The bee-embroidered low-top Ace leather trainers have been seen on the likes of Kourtney Kardashian, Dakota Johnson and Taylor Swift.

The description reads: "Our classic low-top sneaker with Gucci's iconic gold embroidered bee against our Web. The bee is an archival code first introduced in Gucci ready-to-wear in the 1970s."

But Poundland recognise the fact that we aren't all made of money, and so, thankfully for some, have recreated them.

Their version are white, leather-look and have a black and red stripe in the middle. The embroidered gold bee is placed across the centre and is pretty much an exact replica.

The resemblance is truly uncanny.

They also feature a nearly identical leather tag at the back and a white lace design. They can be bought from the chain's own 'fashion' brand, PEP&CO in their stores across the country and are available in size 3-8.

Poundland are used to giving us peasants a taste of the high life.

The discount store also released an aftershave called 'King in Million' for the unsurprising price of £1. What is surprising though is that it apparently actually smells like Paco Rabanne 1 Million - which it seems safe to say Poundland were attempting to emulate.

Customers have taken to Facebook to rave about the scent, which comes in gold and black packaging, much like the hugely popular 1 Million fragrance.

Shared in the ever-useful Extreme Couponing and Bargains group in June, Poundland's 100ml fragrance is £57 less than the same sized bottle of the real deal. Who cares that the name doesn't really make sense?

Users of the group thought it was a no-brainer.

One person commented: "My husband is really fussy, he will only wear the real stuff but this one he was impressed with."

Another said: "I bought it as a joke for my partner for Vday, saying, 'here's a million I can afford' and after we smelt it (we) couldn't believe it so I went back (and) bought four more."
