Prince Charles was left gobsmacked by a magician who seemingly managed to read his mind at an event in Brixton, south London, admitting that he was 'very impressed'.

The Prince of Wales was visiting young entrepreneurs who have been helped by the Prince's Trust, a youth charity he founded that helps young people aged 11 to 30 get into jobs, education and training.

In video footage filmed by Ruth Lue-Quee from My Mummy Teacher/@mymummyteacher, he was seen speaking to magician Chris Wall.

Wall asked Prince Charles if he could name 'any colour', to which he responded: "Blue."

Wall then asked for a number, and Charles gave the number 12.

Finally, the magician asked for 'any name of any person in the world', and the Prince said with a shrug: "George," supposedly as a nod to his grandson.

Turning to the reporters nearby, Wall joked that he 'could be wrong', adding: "I've been wrong before.

"But if I am wrong in this situation, there's something in my wallet for you."

He then got his wallet out and told Charles there was a card that would get him a 'free McFlurry', along with a debit card - reminding him that the limit is now £100.

"What I'd like you to is name any playing card in a pack of cards, any one you like," Wall then said.

Prince Charles went for the Ace of Spades - very rock and roll, Chazza.

"Would you be impressed if you turned that card over and it said your card?" Wall asked, at which point Charles turned the card over and read out exactly what it said: "Your card."

As Prince Charles and other guests laughed, Wall then whipped out his wallet again.

He said: "Now, I said there was something for you in my wallet, and inside my wallet, there is an envelope."

Wall asked Charles to confirm that the envelope was sealed, before opening it up to reveal his business card.

He then told the Prince: "On the back of that, you'll see it says 'Blue', '12' and 'George'."

At this point, Charles looked up with a huge smile and laughed as he turned to the small crowd of applauding guests.

"Very impressive," he said with a smile.

"It really is."
