You're probably already aware that future Illuminati leader Prince George begins his first day at school today. But you may not know that, unlike us, the Royal Family do not have conventional last names.
George's father, Prince William, for example, is officially called His Royal Highness Prince William Duke of Cambridge, with the full name William Arthur Philip Louis. And his father in turn is His Royal Highness Charles Prince of Wales, with the full name Charles Philip Arthur George.
George's official title is His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge and his full name is George Alexander Louis. However, it's unlikely that the kids in the school yard will be referring to him as that.

Instead, the third-in-line to the throne will be known as George Cambridge.
Of course, not everybody on Twitter quite agreed that should be his school name:
If you're wondering why George Cambridge is the chosen name chosen, it follows the tradition of kings and princes historically taking their surnames from their father's titles. Prince William and Harry were known as William Wales and Harry Wales during their formative years.

This means Georgie-boy could also have been known as George Wales if his parents wished.
And Britain isn't the only country where the royal family don't have conventional last names, the royal family in France and Russian don't have last names either. Although apparently that's for entirely different reasons.
