Activist Glues Her Breasts To The Road In London Protest

Activist Glues Her Breasts To The Road In London Protest

Climate activists have been doing all they can over the past nine days to ensure their voices are heard. From blockading the London Stock Exchange by gluing themselves across the entrances to climbing on top of a DLR train.

Just when we thought things couldn't be any more intense, easily the most bizarre of all the stunts took place when a woman was discovered with her breasts glued to the road in the middle of London.

According to The Sun, the woman - who was protesting earlier today with Extinction Rebellion - had glued her upper half to the ground outside global investment banking company Goldman Sachs on Fleet Street.

Cops surrounded the one-woman protest and used screens to stop the public watching on before eventually removing her from the floor (ouch). From there she was led away by officers.

Extinction Rebellion's protests are set to end today according to organisers but have so far managed to rack up a total of 1,088 arrests, according to the BBC.

Around 7am today, two men and five women wearing black suits with red ties glued themselves to each other and the wall in a chain at the Stock Exchange.

They were wearing LED signs which read phrases such as 'climate emergency', 'tell the truth' and 'you can't eat money'.

One of the protesters, Adam Woodall, explained that they targeted the Stock Exchange because 'people are making millions, even billions of pounds out of trading ecological destruction'.

The BBC reported that organisers have said that the 'closing ceremony' (sounds fancy) will be held at 18:00 BST on Thursday at Speaker's Corner, Hyde Park.

In a statement the group explained: "We will leave the physical locations but a space for truth-telling has been opened up in the world. We know we have disrupted your lives. We do not do this lightly. We only do this because this is an emergency."
