Anyone looking to still get away this summer might want to take a look at Ryanair's flash sale.

The budget airline has flights to countries including Spain, Italy and Malta after restrictions put in place at the start of the coronavirus pandemic continue to lift.

More than 200,000 seats are included in the sale, with flights in August and September discounted by up to 25 percent.

Deals start at £7.99 for flights to Poland, while flights to Alicante, Malaga and Barcelona are less than a tenner.

Other destinations that are available to fly to on the cheap include Milan in Italy, Copenhagen and Malta.

Be careful though - there are also flights to Portugal, but the UK government are still advising against non-essential travel to the country. Those who do decide to go will then also have to have a mandatory two-week quarantine when they get home.

You'll need to get a move on though, any Brits who want to take advantage of the cheap flights only have until the end of tomorrow to snap up a bargain.

Amid many complaints on social media that the airline still hasn't refunded people that requested their money back from flights cancelled months ago, the airline has waived its change fee for flights in August.

The move aims to reassure customers that that if they need to change their flights, the fee won't apply. However - it's definitely worth bearing in mind that although the fee won't apply, any change in the cost of the fare will need to be paid for by the customer.

Ryanair was forced to ground its fleet back in March after Covid-19 caused many travel restrictions to be put in to place around the world.

Since then, with lockdowns around Europe lifting, the airline has launched 1,000 flights per day this month.

Ryanair boss Michael O'Leary has already said that this year customers can expect much cheaper deals on travel, with many still wary about leaving home in case they are exposed to the virus.

He explained: "Certainly for the next 12 months you are going to see lower-than-ever airfares, certainly on Ryanair, as we stimulate the market and get it back moving again."

He said that ticket prices probably won't return to the levels they were at previously until 2022, or the following year.

Travel incentives have been quite commonplace lately, with the Ibizan government offering free holidays to NHS staff.
