Walkers, runners and cyclists have been warned to take care around the West Yorkshire area after barbed wire booby traps have been spotted.
A video was posted on to Facebook after it was discovered that the popular pathways had been targeted - with the dangerous wiring being stretched across a public footpath in Elland Park Wood in Calderdale, West Yorks.

Posting the video, Lauren Fay wrote: "Came across this barbed wire at about 5.30pm this afternoon [Friday]. Coming down from St Anne's Church in Southowram to Binns Top Farm in Elland Park Woods.
"The barbed wire was properly secured into the wall and could do some serious damage if you didn't see it and especially if you're on a bike!
"Just be wary as obviously some not very pleasant people around!"
People were horrified after they saw the video with one writing: "Thanks for the warning. We have been walking and cycling there as right next to home. Some very sick people about!!!"

Another added: "Thank you - we've walked that path a lot recently," a third asked whether it had been taken down and the original poster said: "Yes we took it down."
Someone else wrote: "That's disgusting, why would some sick individual do that, thank god you saw it."
This isn't the first time a dangerous obstacle like this has been spotted in West Yorkshire. On 24 April, a runner found barbed wire tied between two trees at Blackmoorfoot Reservoir near Huddersfield, Yorkshire Live reports.
Dave Cocking, 35, said he nearly ran into the wire that had been fastened up, writing: "That could have easily gone into someone's throat or eye. It could have also gone into a dog's paw.

"Thankfully my dad lives nearby. I made him aware and he came up with tools and we have taken it down. Be vigilant when out."
Replying to his post, someone said: "How disgusting. So lucky you found it before you or anyone else got hurt . Scum."
Another jumped to the conclusion that it was locals putting the wiring up, writing: "It's likely the residents that live near there trying to stop people exercising around there. Even before covid 19 they would do this."
