Stacy Solomon has said she doesn't 'get the point' of the Royal Family.

The TV presenter discussed the topic of the royals in a resurfaced clip from Loose Women in which she revealed that she felt the money spent on keeping a wealthy family in palaces could be better used.

The mum explained that she didn't see a difference between the Queen and people like her.

Pointing to a picture of the royals, she said: "It could be us four sitting there, I just don't get it."

After co-host Kaye Adams claimed that, "The Queen for me is brilliant," Stacey just asked, "but for what?"

And despite best efforts of other panelists to point out the hard work and dedication the Queen has shown over the past 70 years, Stacey wasn't convinced.

She said: "But I would work hard if the whole country paid for me to have, like, 12 houses.

"People are thinking that already.

"It's freezing cold outside and people are homeless and these people have houses to spare and it does sometimes become a little bit frustrating because I don't see the purpose of all of that money going to this entire family."

Since the clip was viewed and shared on social media, others have backed Stacey's corner.

Many have commented to say that they too believe the money and power the Royal Family possesses could be better used.

"Stacey Solomon is going to lead the revolution and I'm going to be right behind her," wrote one.

Another chimed in: "Every day I fall a lil more in love with Stacey Solomon. The way she speaks up about how unnecessary the royal family are is incredibly brave! Plus she's absolutely right."

A third commented: "Stacey Solomon presented the critical thinking which gets dismissed because of her accent and the media's dumbing down of her. She's right. The royal family are just celebrities and it could have been any of us in that position because they did nothing to deserve it."

While another added: "I don't watch Loose Women, but just saw a clip of what Stacey Solomon said. I wholeheartedly agree with her, and what is really pleasant is she's being 100 percent honest, without saying it in a nasty way. Nice that she cares about the homeless too. Pity the Government doesn't follow suit."

Not everyone agreed, however. Some argued that the Royal Family bring a huge economic benefit to the country.

One said: "Stacey Solomon doesn't understand that the royal family is a part of British culture, culture that we want to continue and respect and we NEED for tourism."
