Study Reveals Naughtiest And Nicest Kids' Names

The names that correlate with the nicest and naughtiest kids have been revealed and it's bad news for parents of daughters called Ella or sons called Joseph.

Researchers from School Stickers looked at the online sticker books of 63,000 kids to see which names tied in with those who'd earned the most stickers for being well-behaved... and which ones got the least.

Picking up the not-so-coveted title of belonging to the 'naughtiest kids' are the names Ella and Joseph.

Closely following on the list for the girls is Bethany in second place, with Eleanor, Olivia, Laura, Holly, Courtney, Amber, Caitlin and Jade making up the rest of the top 10.

Over on the naughty boys list, Cameron is just behind Jacob, with William, Jake, Joshua, Jamie, Lewis, Benjamin, Ethan and Luke also popping up.

Are you now sat there thinking, 'Well this all makes a lot of sense,' as your kids Olivia and Jake completely trash your house? No? Maybe you're lucky enough to be the proud parent of an Amy or Jacob - if so you can start to feel pretty smug right now, because they are the names belonging to the nicest on the list.

For the boys Daniel comes in second nicest, followed by Thomas, James and Adam.

Harry, Samuel, Jack, Oliver and Ryan complete the top 10.

Meanwhile the list of names for the nicest girls sees Georgie in second place, followed by Emma, Charlotte, Grace, Sophie, Abigail, Hannah, Emily and Alice.

So, there you have it - if your kid is playing up it's probably your fault for giving them the wrong name, right?

But still, it could be worse, one woman had to go ahead and cancel her baby shower after people started to take the piss out of her unborn baby's name. Harsh.

A screenshot of the woman's post was shared on Reddit, where people had strongly divided opinions about the unusual moniker. What was it? Squire Sebastian Senator - and that's just the first name, in case you were wondering.

In a long post, the woman wrote: "It brings me pain to have to tell you this, but I am cancelling the event. I will text you soon if you're invited to my smaller, more inclusive party. At least here no one will judge me.

"Why? Why am I doing this?

"Because y'all have been talking shit about my unborn baby. AN UNBORN CHILD. How can you judge an unborn child?? What is wrong with you??

"To say this frankly, my friends and family have treated me like total shit. They've spread rumours and lies about my child. No, I am not crazy. No, I am not mentally unstable. No, I was not drunk when I named my child.

"His name is Squire Sebastian Senator. That is that. You cannot force me to change his name. This is the name I was meant to give him.

"No, this is not his full name. 'Squire Sebastian Senator' is only his first name. This is how it will be. He will not be allowed to have a nickname, he is to be called by his full and complete first name.

"I never knew my family could be so judgemental. We come from a long-lasting family of both squires and senators. If you look back in our family tree, the survival of this clan is literally rooted in squiredom. We are all related to senators too. This name conveys power. It conveys wealth. It conveys success."

Fair enough.
