Malala Yousafzai has celebrated graduating from the University of Oxford.

The 22-year-old - who was shot in the head by a Taliban gunman in 2012 - expressed her 'joy and gratitude' after completing her Philosophy, Politics and Economics degree at the esteemed university.

Sharing a snap of herself caked in confetti and, well, cake, the Nobel peace prize winner said she would be kicking off her celebrations with 'Netflix, reading and sleep'.

While graduating from Oxford is a monumental accomplishment for anyone, it's nothing out of the ordinary for super high-achiever Malala.

The activist and human rights advocate became the subject of international uproar after she was was shot in the head by the Taliban after campaigning for girls to be educated in Pakistan.

Miraculously, she survived, becoming the youngest Nobel peace prize winner in 2014.

Given what she has been through and what she has achieved, it comes as no surprise that she has been inundated with congratulatory messages following her graduation:

Bravo Malala, bravo.

They always say the world is your oyster when you graduate from uni, but has that ever been more true than it is for Malala?
