A taxi driver took two 'fare dodging' customers to their parents' houses after they refused to pay the £46 ($59.10) they owed for their journey.

Kev, who runs Kev's Cabs Liverpool, is somewhat of a social media celebrity in the city, regularly sharing videos on Facebook and his YouTube channel.

One such video, recorded on Monday evening, documents the aggro the cabbie had to go through to claim a £46 fare.

The 42-year-old said he took three passengers - two men and a woman - on a lengthy journey around the city, stopping at a retail park, a DIY shop and a pub along the way. However, after the man who supposedly had the money 'went missing' the other two passengers then attempted to walk away without paying too.

They eventually returned to the taxi, but after going 'round the houses' in search of the third passenger, Kev decided to flag down a police van, with officers assisting Kev in taking the passengers to their parents' houses to recoup his fare.

In the video taken from his cab, Kev can be heard telling police: "£46 on the clock and they haven't paid me they're going round the shop and god knows what, there was three of them but one's f****d off - excuse the language.

"I didn't want to blow them up but I've got a family to feed, I don't want to be a grass but I want my money."

Kev was inundated with praise after sharing the footage with his 50,000 strong following on Facebook and he has thanked police for helping him to obtain his hard-earned fee.

Kev had to recruit the help of police to get his fee.

Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, he said: "I was fuming, I just want to make an honest living.

"Sometimes if someone is a bit short of a pound or two I'll say it's OK but I would have had to stay out for three or four hours to make that back.

"People don't realise that you're on the front line as a black cab driver. I love this city and that's why I film what I do because I like to show what goes on everyday as a real life taxi driver.

"The police were brilliant. They took them to their parents' houses and I followed behind in my cab. The parents were the ones that paid me in the end, I can't thank the police enough for their help."
