It's not just any old Saturday in May. For starters, it's actually nice and sunny and quite warm, which already makes it pretty momentous.

But above all else, of course, is the fact that this sunny Saturday in May is also the day that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle get married - something that the nation is clearly very excited about, judging from the thousands of people that have gathered at Windsor Castle.

According to the Daily Mail, up to 100,000 people are expected to line the streets of Windsor today, hoping to catch a glimpse of the happy couple - or just to soak up some of those sweet royal wedding vibes.

Some people had even camped out for days in order to grab themselves a good spot for the day.

To be honest, even if you're not arsed about the wedding itself, it looks like you'd have one hell of a day soaking up the sun in Berkshire. Just IMAGINE how much Pimms is about to be consumed.

The only downside would be the very early start, which isn't usually what you want on a Saturday morning.

ITV presenter Philip Schofield was apparently spotted making his way down the Long Walk in a golf buggy at 6.30am today, waving at the cheering crowds.

The Daily Mail reports that two spectators, Jo Pratt and Laura Hamlin, arrived at the Long Walk at 4am, having travelled from Horsham, Sussex.

"It was freezing cold but we are very excited," Pratt said.

"We are hoping that they'll become the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. That would be fantastic."

The British public aren't the only people excited about the big day, either - it seems Meghan's on-screen Suits husband Patrick J Adams is also pretty hyped for his pal.

Earlier this morning he shared a photo on Instagram of the morning papers, captioned: "I'm beginning to think she might not actually be out getting milk" - a reference to a tweet making a similar joke after the engagement was announced.

Adams also tweeted a bizarre (and pretty touching) coincidence relating Meghan, Harry and his grandparents earlier this morning.

He's not even been in the country long, but Adams has already started endearing himself to the British public. Why? Well, he touched down and went straight to the pub - which is always going to go down well with Brits.

Good to see he's got his priorities sorted out. It wasn't just any old pub either - although it was certainly an old pub.

Patrick and his wife, Troian Bellisario, headed for The Royal Standard of England in Buckinghamshire. It's been there for more than 900 years and is still churning out pints of bitter with no signs of stopping.

The Canadian actor has been posting pics of his trip on his Instagram feed as he goes along. After leaving the pub he posted a shot of the pub's old sign with the caption: "I have historically ale'd."

Attaboy.
