Transport For London is reportedly considering making tube, train, and bus travel free.
The company is looking at ways of encouraging people back onto public transport after months of lockdown saw number drop dramatically.
Not only does a lack of travel impact the the revenue stream for TfL, it also has a knock-on effect on businesses in and around London.

Speaking to The London Evening Standard, a spokesperson for TfL said there were a number of proposals being considered.
They said: "This is one of a number of options that are being considered to help encourage people back into central London in the coming months.
"No final decisions have been made and any option would need to be delivered with government support, and agreed with them as part of ongoing discussions about our finances.
"More customers are now returning to public transport and we are seeing steady growth every day."

Adding: "We are delivering a near full tube, bus and rail service and the network is cleaner than ever before."
But while free travel might go down well with commuters, the same cannot be said for Dettol's new series of adverts.
As part of a new campaign to promote the use of hand sanitiser, Dettol teamed up with Transport For London to extol the virtues of getting back to work.

But it seems the idea of 'plastic plants', 'proper bants', and 'taking the lift' didn't exactly strike the right chord with its desired audience.
The new poster has caused a stir on social media today, with most people confused and offended.
Sharing a picture of the poster, one person said: "It's probably the words 'bants' and 'cheeky' which annoy me the most about this advert."
A second joked: "The worst thing about that Dettol advert everyone is retweeting is the line about work colleagues being 'your second family'. I'd rather have a pint with the Manson Family than my work colleagues."
Another quipped: "Ironically, this advert for Dettol makes me want to drink Dettol."

A fourth wrote: "Do they really think people are being sentimental about office work?! That whole 'second family' thing reeks of desperation."
While another said: "I think the Dettol advert is further proof of how self absorbed the advertising industry is... "
It is one of a series of posters that have been placed along the tube lines in London, with others promoting the morning commute and children returning to school.
